Doula Services
Mary provides personalized doula care designed to make you more comfortable and prepared during your labor; be it a home, birthing center or hospital birth.
Before Labor
• Two Prenatal visits to go over paperwork, birth preferences, comfort measures, my role as doula, discuss backup doula (and if you want to meet them), and to meet your partner if present.
• On call day or night from date of signed contract until two weeks past due date.
During Labor
• On call to come check-in on you or facetime you during pre-labor.
• Present for active labor however long it takes until two hours post birth.
• Two Postpartum checkups to provide support whatever your needs may be. Hold the baby, make you a cup of tea or even walk the dog.
Taylor’s Story
I strongly recommend having Mary as your doula! As a first time mom, I loved having someone so knowledgeable about all things birth, labor, and postpartum. During birth Mary suggested different positions and comfort techniques as well as continually encouraged me. She also stayed calm for us when we were swept up in excitement and exhaustion. Mary was ready for any situation. Mary was so sweet and she truly was there for ME. She decorated my room with lights, diffused smells I liked, and was always willing to grab me a snack. She is a strong advocate for whatever the mom wants in the midst of differing opinions from nurses, doctors, and family. Having a child is such a special moment, and I’m so glad Mary was the doula I chose to have beside me when it happened.
